VUL-0: CVE-2024-2496: libvirt: NULL pointer dereference in udevConnectListAllInterfaces()
Last modified: 2024-04-08 12:31:33 UTC
A NULL pointer dereference issue was found in libvirt in the udevConnectListAllInterfaces() function. It could occur when detaching a host interface while at the same time collecting the list of interfaces via virConnectListAllInterfaces API. Tracking as affected: - SUSE:SLE-12-SP5:Update/libvirt - SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:Update/libvirt Already fixed: - SUSE:ALP:Source:Standard:1.0/libvirt - openSUSE:Factory/libvirt Tracking as not affected codestream below SP5 since only wicked networking interface is supported in SLES and it's preferred over udev interface. The users could not change this preference, only in >=SP5 the users could disable wicked and then udev is used. - SUSE:SLE-12-SP3:Update/libvirt - SUSE:SLE-15-SP2:Update/libvirt - SUSE:SLE-15-SP3:Update/libvirt - SUSE:SLE-15-SP4:Update/libvirt Thanks James for all the info.
