Bugzilla – Bug 1221835
installing something systemd related pulls in MicroOS presets rather than SLES presets
Last modified: 2024-03-26 11:38:08 UTC
BCI-base 15.5 tries to be the SLES product, but it actually installs MicroOS branding , e.g. The following 75 NEW packages are going to be installed: binutils cpp cpp7 dbus-1 dkms dwarves fipscheck gawk gcc gcc7 glibc-devel kbd kbd-legacy kernel-default-devel kernel-devel kernel-macros kernel-syms kmod libapparmor1 libargon2-1 libasan4 libatomic1 libbpf0 libcilkrts5 libcryptsetup12 libcryptsetup12-hmac libctf-nobfd0 libctf0 libdbus-1-3 libdevmapper1_03 libdwarves1 libefivar1 libelf-devel libexpat1 libfipscheck1 libfreebl3 libgomp1 libip4tc2 libisl15 libitm1 libjson-c3 libkmod2 liblsan0 libmpc3 libmpfr6 libmpx2 libmpxwrappers2 libpython3_6m1_0 libseccomp2 libsoftokn3 libtsan0 libubsan0 libxcrypt-devel linux-glibc-devel make mozilla-nspr mozilla-nss mozilla-nss-certs mozilla-nss-tools openssl pam-config pesign pesign-obs-integration pkg-config python3-base suse-module-tools systemd systemd-default-settings systemd-default-settings-branding-SLE systemd-presets-branding-MicroOS systemd-presets-common-SUSE systemd-rpm-macros update-alternatives zlib-devel zstd The following 2 packages have no support information from their vendor: dkms systemd-presets-branding-MicroOS
I'm not able to reproduce this on bci-base:15.5. Any systemd related package just brings SLE branding; systemd-default-settings-branding-SLE systemd-presets-branding-SLE systemd-presets-common-SUSE The MicroOS branding package is not even available in BCI: zypper in systemd-presets-branding-MicroOS Refreshing service 'container-suseconnect-zypp'. Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... 'systemd-presets-branding-MicroOS' not found in package names. Trying capabilities. No provider of 'systemd-presets-branding-MicroOS' found. Resolving package dependencies... Nothing to do. Did you have extra repositories enabled that could have caused this?
