journalctl for failed wayland login

After running zypper dup and restart today all attempts to login under KDE (Wayland) throw up a blank screen and then return to the splash screen.
This affects all users.
User login for KDE (X11) is OK. 
User login on a tty is OK.

I'm attaching output from journalctl in the hope it's of some use to someone. The original is literally stuffed with baloo error messages which I've edited out.
