Bugzilla – Bug 1222276
Gpaste doesn't work on Gnome 46
Last modified: 2024-04-04 17:21:47 UTC
Following the update to Gnome 46 (cpe:2.3:o:opensuse:tumbleweed:20240329), the Gpaste extension contained in the repositories remained at version 45-3.2 of Gnome, so it is no longer usable (it is disabled in the extensions application). As reported in the official application repository https://github.com/Keruspe/GPaste Latest release for GNOME 45 or 46 is: GPaste 45.1.
https://github.com/Keruspe/GPaste/tags - the latest tag is still v45; 45.1 was never tagged
(In reply to Dominique Leuenberger from comment #1) > https://github.com/Keruspe/GPaste/tags - the latest tag is still v45; 45.1 > was never tagged you're right, I hadn't noticed... sorry. As I was saying, the GPaste 45.1 version is mentioned at the bottom of the official github page, where there is also a direct download link (very strange... better not to trust it).
With the latest zypper dup gpaste has been updated and now works. I change the status to Resolved. cpe:2.3:o:opensuse:tumbleweed:20240403:*:*:*:*:*:*:* Information for package gpaste: ------------------------------- Repository : Main Repository (OSS) Name : gpaste Version : 45+12-1.1 Arch : x86_64 Vendor : openSUSE Installed Size : 427.3 KiB Installed : Yes (automatically) Status : up-to-date Source package : gpaste-45+12-1.1.src Upstream URL : https://github.com/Keruspe/GPaste Summary : Clipboard management system for GNOME Description : GPaste is a clipboard management daemon with DBus interface.
