Thw issue was adressed here https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/3389
and a fix was already published here https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/3674 

Would be great if you implement that patch on the mutter package.
