Bugzilla – Bug 1223610
Require kio-gdrive with KOrganizer
Last modified: 2024-05-01 17:18:21 UTC
The Google Groupware module of Korganizer cannot remember the credentials and is unable to stay updated after a restart of Kontact / KOrganizer. The fix for this is to install the kio-gdrive package to ensure that this functions properly. Since the Google Groupware is part of KOrganizer by default, I am recommending that kio-gdrive is required as part of the collection of packages installed with korganizer.
I used for many years kio-gdrive and I have the problem <<Korganizer cannot remember the credentials and is unable to stay updated after a restart of Kontact / KOrganizer>>. If I want only to modify the properties of the G Calendar for example unselecting some calendars then the dialog to get authorization is launched automatically. I get sync error message about G Groupware engine. The sync blocks at 0 % when synchronizing tasks or events from G calendar to korganizer. The sync blocks at 0 % when synchronizing events from korganizer to G Calendar. So I am surprised that you pretend that the installation of kio-gdrive fixes the problem. And i don't speak about synchronizing contacts korganier <-> G Contacts which is a nightmare.
