Description Andreas Stieger 2024-05-28 21:21:21 UTC
Similar to bug 1224165, but not security related:

The packages listed blow are maintenance updates released into Leap 15.5 that are missing in Leap 15.6. We should not release openSUSE Leap 15.6 with version downgrades, and the corresponding functional regressions.

Please pull the content from openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5:Update into openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP6, or get a newer package from Tumbleweed.

Comment 3 Max Lin 2024-05-29 08:27:13 UTC
Ok, I now figure out how did my script does not submit them from openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5:Update, those package has been updated to Factory's version and therefore hte origin has set to Factory, my script then ignore the different in openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5:Update because it has different origin...
Comment 4 Max Lin 2024-05-29 09:00:55 UTC
okay, I submitted them to openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP6, I've skipped php-APCu, php-imagick, php-redis and php-xdebug because we have the same version already, the only difference is those package in openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5:Update had a php81 build flavor which we don't want to have in Leap 15.6, we have php 8.2.
Comment 5 Max Lin 2024-05-29 10:03:53 UTC
all changes are merged to openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP6, waiting for the next GMC build for the verification.

I did an online upgrade of a fully up to date Leap 15.5 system to Leap 15.6 yesterday evening (June 1st) to what was available in the repos at that time, I assume it was Build709.1.

zypper dup resulted in the following downgrades at this system:

Comment 7 Marcus Meissner 2024-06-02 11:20:17 UTC
this is due to updates released after the last snapshot.

we will redeliver them with online updates.
Comment 8 Max Lin 2024-06-03 07:28:45 UTC
Yes, Marcus is right, those packages are SLE package and will be redelivered with online updates for Leap 15.6.
