Bugzilla – Bug 1226505
Recent Mesa update (24.1.0) broke QML rendering on Radeon
Last modified: 2024-06-19 07:15:30 UTC
Created attachment 875569 [details] Screenshot Fonts and background are broken in QML components after Mesa update to 24.1.0 (see screenshot). In Wayland only QML components broken. In X11 the whole desktop, icons, windows etc, making it completly unusable. Only 1 of my PCs affected - with Radeon graphics. Another with Intel is ok. Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240617 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.1 Kernel Version: 6.9.4-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics Memory: 15.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Product Name: Zenbook UX425QA_UM425QA System Version: 1.0
Also, mouse cursor is invisible in Electron apps. It moves and works if you guess its position, but otherwise invisible
Installing Mesa 24.1.1 from Packman "fixed" X11 - it works with broken effects and animations. Mesa 24.1.1 from Packman doesn't work at all with Wayland - Plasma crashes upon start.
