Description Claudio Fontana 2024-06-25 07:52:17 UTC
Links to anchors of the Documentation do not work reliably.

A click on a specific subchapter, for example:

https://documentation.suse.com/de-de/sles/15-SP4/html/SLES-all/article-virtualization-best-practices.html#sec-vm-guest-scsi-pr

leads me to the beginning of the page, instead of pointing the browser to the right chapter.

This works correctly for me maybe 10% of the times.

Anything we can fix?

Thanks, it is difficult to point people at specific parts of the doc because it is impossible to guarantee that they will land on the right section.

Thanks,

Claudio

Hi Claudio, thanks for the bug report.

I checked the link you mentioned below and for me, it works as expected. My browser takes me directly to the section '7.8 SCSI persistent reservation on a multipathed device' (see attachment), and if I look at the source code, that is exactly the section with the ID 'sec-vm-guest-scsi-pr' (which is contained in the URL you pasted).

I also asked two more colleagues to check and for them, it also worked as expected.

Maybe we are missing your point here - could you let us know at which section your browser takes you when you click the URL below? Thanks!
