How do you know that it is not working?

> not sure with update broke the mic.

You should find out. If you can go back some snapshots (possibly the kernel), and verify.

I tested by adding the mic back into OBS where it was working before. Also I tested my mic with Discord where it was working before.

The device (mic) shows up, but when I speak the audio meter stay at zero. Also no audio from the mic gets recorded in OBS recording.

Can you try rollback to the old snapshot and see whether it still works?
Comment 4 Dev Guy 2024-07-19 04:05:09 UTC
Closing, mic is working, it seems my audio profile got messed up.

So after installing the Pulse Audio Volume control, I was able to correct the input device setting and configuration.
