Description Alexey Eremenko 2005-10-13 16:31:39 UTC
Currently, the KDE icon is KDE generic. I think it would be nice to have it SUSE
specific.
I have drawn a SUSE icon to replace the KDE one.

Please install the files I give to you (and re-enable KDE side icon).
The install path:
/opt/kde3/share/apps/kicker/pics/

update: for some unkown reason re-enabling KDE side icon is not sufficient on
SUSE 10. KDE restart is required. I know for sure that on Mandrake Linux 10.1,
simply re-enabling the icon worked.

So you must do with root:
init 3
init 5
Comment 5 Alexey Eremenko 2005-10-13 17:42:18 UTC
correction: it work if you press "OK" in the KDE Control Center (without KDE
restart), but doesn't works if you press "apply". Anyone knows the reason?

Nothing to decide before 10.2 branding starts, let's see if blue as of 10.1 stays as the new color.
Comment 8 Stephan Binner 2006-08-17 09:13:32 UTC
openSUSE 10.2 will ship with a new default KDE start menu without sidebar image and we will put no effort into branding the legacy KDE start menu.
