Bugzilla – Bug 129336
CDs are not unmounted automatically
Last modified: 2006-01-27 11:41:38 UTC
When I insert a CD in my drive it gets mounted and it´s displayed with the KDE media ioslave. But when I remove the CD from the drive the entry is still there, so the CD wasn´t unmounted. I see the following messages in the messages log: Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 hal-subfs-mount[9304]: SYMLINKS:: disk/by-path/pci-0000:00:12.0-ide-0:1 dvdrecorder cdrom dvd cdrecorder Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 hal-subfs-mount[9304]: MOUNT_POINT:: /media/dvdrecorder Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 hal-subfs-mount[9304]: MOUNTPOINT:: /media/dvdrecorder Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 kernel: subfs 0.9 Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 hal-subfs-mount[9304]: Collected mount options and Called(0) /bin/mount -t subfs -o fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 /dev/hdb "/media/dvdrecorder" Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 kernel: ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 3 Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 kernel: ISOFS: changing to secondary root Oct 19 13:37:15 r098088 udevd[4370]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in payload found, skip event 'mount' Oct 19 13:37:18 r098088 udevd[4370]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in payload found, skip event 'umount' Oct 19 13:37:19 r098088 kernel: ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 3 Oct 19 13:37:19 r098088 kernel: ISOFS: changing to secondary root Oct 19 13:37:19 r098088 udevd[4370]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in payload found, skip event 'mount' Oct 19 13:37:22 r098088 udevd[4370]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in payload found, skip event 'umount' Oct 19 13:37:25 r098088 kernel: ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 3 Oct 19 13:37:25 r098088 kernel: ISOFS: changing to secondary root Oct 19 13:37:25 r098088 udevd[4370]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in payload found, skip event 'mount' Oct 19 13:37:28 r098088 udevd[4370]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in payload found, skip event 'umount' Oct 19 13:37:36 r098088 hal-subfs-mount[9358]: By hald-subfs-mount created link /media/Mails got removed. The link in /media was indeed removed. When I click on the CD icon I see an empty folder with the address "media:/hdb"
this is a KDE issue. Reassign the bug
should be fixed for beta3
