Bugzilla – Bug 129969
incomplete installation "Analyzing your sistem"
Last modified: 2005-10-25 11:11:12 UTC
At the last installation step, a dialog appears saying "Unable to probe TV cards". There is no TV card in my machine, it's a plain PC for office use (Dell GX280, Intel 915 mainboard). Then, the rest of the stuff that has to be detected at that stage remains not set because the only thing that works is clicking [Next].
I believe I am suffering from the same problem. As a result of this (or something else) network and sound card were not detected nor configured, although in 10.0 or 10.1 Alpha 1 there were no problems in detection. I have ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard with Nebula DigiTV PCI card (which seems to be irrelevant).

Sorry, I've no idea what yast is trying to tell with 'unable to probe tv cards'.
Marcus just told me it can be closed.
Please, install package yast2-hardware-detection. Unfortunately it not installed by default in alpha2... It has been fixed for the next release already.
I am having the same problem, on a Toshiba Satellite M45-S265. The 10.1 alpha 1 version worked fine. I tried installing the yast2-hardware-detection per the 'fix' above, the only difference was I didn't get the message about the TV tuner, it just sat there in the 'checking hardware' screen.
Yes, it doesn't say "Unable to probe TV card" but remains in "Analyzing your system", and does not show any device.
I hope I don't piss anyone off by reopening the bug.
Marcus, you seem to know the state of this bug.
yes it is a combination of several bugs which have been fixed already. - broken libsax removeCardOption() method - broken regexp due to md5sum format changes (#130152) - broken colordepth setup due to changes in the SPP parser - fc-cache bug ... still open please test with next alpha/beta thanks
