Description Magnus Boman 2005-10-22 00:54:08 UTC
Upgraded from SUSE Linux 10.1Alpha1 -> Alpha2

After that, X is trying to start but is not succesfull. Not able to configure
with SaX2 (it quits after showing a 640x480 picture) either.
Will attach the SaX.log.

Perhaps Bug 129947 is related as well.

VMware tools is installed and configured. Tried VMware WS 5.0 and GSX 3.2.

Comment 2 Marcus Schaefer 2005-10-24 08:27:14 UTC
Alpha2 has several big problems for example fontconfig which crashes
many applications. You can workaround the problem by calling

  fc-cache -f

and after that call:

   sax2 -r

for a complete reconfiguration run. There are more problems around which
have been fixed. So please try again with the next beta version

Thanks
