Description Alexander Lavrinenko 2005-10-23 20:12:52 UTC
Installer sets screen resolution to 1024x768 while my laptop has 1440x900.
Alpha1 detected it correctly.

Can you please attach the output of hwinfo and the /var/log/YaST2 directory (as a tar file)?
Please take a look at http://www.opensuse.org/Bug_Reporting_FAQ#YaST
if you have any questions about this.
Comment 2 Marcus Schaefer 2005-10-24 13:07:26 UTC
the output of

 hwinfo --monitor

is needed here.

Thanks

your monitor couldn't be detected by libhd. That's why the framebuffer
resolution is used. I think this can only be solved if libhd includes
the bios information on it's blacklist and set a hardcoded resolution
