Description Ulrich Windl 2005-10-25 06:52:36 UTC
When trying to log in immediately after boot (possibly while hardware detection was running in the background), the system hang for several seconds. tty10 suggested a SCSI problem ("(scsi1:A:0:0): Unexpected busfree in Message-out phase"). The affected device is the system volume (Vendor: IBM, Model: DPSS-318350N, Rev: S96H).
The system was able to recover, but I had pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del in the meantime.

Can you try 10.1 Beta3 (or, even better, Beta4 which should be out next week)?
There were quite some improvements for the aic7xxx driver, would be interesting to know whether this problem has been fixed with them.
