Description Crispin Cowan 2005-10-25 23:54:37 UTC
To enter Novell expense reports, one has to use the Microsoft-specific version of Java that comes with IE. To run that on a Linux desktop, Crossover Office, as distributed by Novell internal Red Carpet, used to work quite well. Since I upgraded to SL10.0, it has worked less well :) Specifically, various forms of data entry in the XMS web form don't work as they should:

-the tab key no longer advances you from one field to another
-the cursor keys no longer let you scroll down field selectors
-CRITICAL: the numeric entry field for entering expense amounts no longer works AT ALL

Ok, so this isn't product critical. But it is critical to me because now I can't enter expense reports without mooching a Windows machine.

"X11 3rd Party" is the abbreviation for "X11 3rd Party drivers"

crispin: which version of crossover?

marcus: can you help out here? If not, please reassign to us.

no, i cant ... the package is not provided by me.

it should be assigned to the ODI maintenance team, but I doubt they will support anything else then just NLD-ODI.

Crispin, you can ask Chris Mason <mason@suse.com> on how he does his expense reports, he has similar problems I think.

After consulting some people:
CrossoverOffice is a proprietary (closed-source and non-free) product which is neither maintained nor directly supported by us in that fashion. Please find out whom you could ask for help here, because the BNC-Team was not able to. You might ask the NLD-people here. Sorry.
