Description Alberto Passalacqua 2005-10-26 20:18:07 UTC
I set the file permission to "Secure" (not sure about the actual term, I'm using the italian version) in Yast, and gnomesu doesn't work anymore.

If I try to run it in a console, I get the following error:

** (gnomesu:10603): CRITICAL **: Nessun servizio disponibile per libgnomesu. (No service available for libgnomesu)

Everything works well if I come back to the "Easy" file permissions.

Not sure if it's related to bug #119600

It was a decission of security team. Reassigning. If you will change it, please reassign it back - we need to do the same in the package for supplementary updates.

if you trust the binary enough to have it setuid root in level secure you can add it to /etc/permissions.local on your system.
