I used to be able to drag a bookmark or the icon in the URL field directly into a bookmark folder in the "personal toolbar". In 10.0 with 1.0.7-0.1 this stopped to work, the folder does not unfold and you can only place the bookmark in the toolbar.

That works for me on 10.0 with Firefox 1.0.7. I have no real idea why this shouldn't work for you.

Maybe you should delete the file XUL.mfasl and see if it change anything.
