Bugzilla – Bug 132285
no sound
Last modified: 2006-09-04 06:50:42 UTC
After installing SuSE 10.0 Yast showed me my an intel hda soundcard, but no channel to increase volume and I got no sound. Alsamixergui was not loadable. So I installed a new alsa-sound but no changes. So I tried to configure a new soundcard for intel hda ICH6, bu t Yast told me it couldn´t load thge module ccause of wrong preferences or attribiutes. Now I´m not able to delete one or bows of the cards in Yast and my system tells me there is no card anymore (even if I see two in Yast and audio0 to audio4 in /dev)
Created attachment 56449 [details] hwinfo --sound
Created attachment 56450 [details] code#0 this was before I tried to configure a new card

Created attachment 56528 [details] y2log
The log says: [agent-modules] ModulesConf.cc(getOptions):169 Bad options for module: snd-hda-intel Could you provide /etc/modprobe.d/sound file if you still have the system? Was the card autoconfigured by yast or did you some manual changes?
Sorry, I returned this laptop and switched the new one to 10.1
OK, resolving as WONTFIX
