Description Fernando Tauscheck 2005-11-05 18:41:34 UTC
I'm have an RIVA TNT2 (with driver 7174 and the modification in /etc/udev/static_devices.txt and the script to make dev's at startup, but that week in YOU i take an update for x11-tools to correct permissions to /dev/nv*.
After that update the X don't start again if i'm configure the nvidir drive in xorg.conf (now i'm are using nv em xorg.conf).
Also have any idea how to correct this?
Thanks

Indeed, this is a problem, since the driver does not know the new kernel module options yet. /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia needs to be removed. I'll add this information to my HOWTO.
