How to reproduce:
1) Test a screensaver in KControl.
2) Test a screensaver in KControl.
...
n) Test a screensaver in KControl.
Behavior:
A blank screen shows up every time but the first.
Expected behavior:
The screensaver shows every time.
Note:
Restarting KControl gives you another shot of testing for the KControl session.

Cannot reproduce with 10.1 Alpha 3 anymore.

Ok, tested 10.0 on a slow machine and 10.1 on a fast one. Seems it's a timing problem...
