Description Christian Präger 2005-11-11 20:22:09 UTC
I have this problem on two Suse Linux 10.0 workstations. Both systems have the same hardware:
AMD Athlon64 3200+ with a AVM Fritz Card 2.0 PCI
The non-GPL Kernel from ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/x86_64/10.0/SUSE-Linux10.0-GM-Extra/suse/x86_64/kernel-default-nongpl-2.6.13-15.x86_64.rpm is installed.

The FritzCard works. I can make an internet connection to my ISP. In the ISDN configuration on Yast I set the ISDN Card to use Capi 2.0.

In the Capisuite dialog box I set the same configuration as on older Suse Systems.

So, if I send a fax from my analog fax device to the new Suse system I get the following error in the /var/log/capisuite.log:
Thu Nov 10 11:41:47 2005 Connection 0x9d6d50: call from 0123456789 to 98765 for christian connecting with fax
Thu Nov 10 11:41:47 2005 Connection 0x9d6d50: accepting with service 1
Thu Nov 10 11:42:27 2005 Connection 0x9d6d50: disconnect initiated
Thu Nov 10 11:42:27 2005 Connection 0x9d6d50: connection lost with cause 0x3400,0x3311
Thu Nov 10 11:42:28 2005 Connection 0x9d6d50: Connection object deleted

If I send a fax with another ISDN Card to the Suse system I get the fax.

In the documentation of Capisuite there stands following for 0x3311:
3311 - T.30 (fax) error: Connection not successful (remote station is not a G3 fax device)

But the Capi2.0 driver with G3 fax support is installed.

PS: For testing I downloaded the Novell Suse Linux 10.0 Eval and I get the same errors.

This seems to be a problem with the 64 bit version of the AVM driver.
AVM is already informed about this issue.

Fixed in later version, but we do not support binonly drivers anymore.
