Starting up banshee and pressing the play button does nothing, probably because there is no selected row in the music list.

Options:
1) Always select a row in the list
2) Have play jump to the first list line in the list and select it and start playing
3) De-sensitize the play button

Received a community patch for this today, oddly enough. Fixed against HEAD.
