Description Jacob Fingerfold 2005-11-18 17:49:37 UTC
System boots, finds drive and fsck runs successfully. Hardware initialization begins and the following relevant output is observed:

i2O sybsytem v1.288
i2o: max drivers 8
i2o: Checking for PCI I2O controllers
ACPI: PCI Interupt 0000:06:01:0[A] -> GSI 72 (level,low) -> IRQ 177
iop0: device already claimed
iop0: DMA/IO allocation for I2O controller failed
ACPI: PCI Interupt for device 000:06:01:0 disabled
dpti0: Trying to Abort cmd = 5552

I know there is no hardware problem, all hardware is new. Fedora Core 4 installed successfully and boots properly. FC4 uses aacraid module instead of dpt_i20 module.

This is a show stopper for the installation. I've teste SuSE Linux Eval 10.0, SuSE Linux OSS 10.0 and SuSE Linux 10.1 Alpha 2 and all exhibit the same behaviour
