Description Tony Jones 2005-11-18 20:21:44 UTC
Selecting Gnome as the default install type (SL10.1-alpha3 IA64) generates an immediate set of conflicts. Does not appear to be the same as bug#114291

See attached suse-conflicts.txt

I suspect most of this was because of mono 1.1.10 and some breakage on ia64. Can you confirm stanislav?
Comment 3 Rodrigo Moya 2005-11-23 10:42:12 UTC
On NLD10, the same happened to me on a 64bit install (AMD). The conflicts were unfixable, except for 'install xxxx and risk system inconsistencies'. The system booted up after that with no problems, until it got to starting X, which I guess is a different problem
Comment 4 Stanislav Brabec 2005-11-23 12:49:20 UTC
Yes and no.

The packages were not rebuild with latest mono, and that's why it fails to install. But it does not build for various reasons:

beagle:
unzip: cannot find or open /usr/lib/browser-extensions/firefox/beagle.xpi, /usr/lib/browser-extensions/firefox/beagle.xpi.zip or /usr/lib/browser-extensions/firefox/beagle.xpi.ZIP.
error: %post(beagle-0.1.2-7) scriptlet failed, exit status 9

blam:
** ERROR **: file exceptions-ia64.c: line 626 (mono_arch_handle_exception): assertion failed: (res >= 0)
aborting...

f-spot:
ERROR: No sufficient Category definition: /var/tmp/f-spot-0.1.3-build//usr/share/applications/f-spot.desktop

galago-sharp:
GC Warning: Couldn't read /proc/stat
GC Warning: GC_get_nprocs() returned -1
Couldn't read /proc/self/stat
(Note that Autobuild does not mount /proc)

tomboy:

mv: cannot stat `/var/tmp/tomboy-0.3.3-build/opt/gnome/lib/dbus-1.0': No such file or directory

What's the current status of this? There hasn't been any update for six
weeks now.
Comment 6 JP Rosevear 2006-01-11 00:44:57 UTC
All the above are building on ia64 now.
