Believe this is a known problem (~rw/Notes/IPF/SL10.0-T2   #4) but don't see a bugzilla for it.

Yast hangs at Hardware configuration/Analysing your system.  Cursor just spins indefinately.

The last line in the log is:

It seems that it hangs in sax...
