Description Magnus Boman 2005-11-21 08:59:02 UTC
Trying to install Alpha 3 in VMware. Hardware config will never finish. /usr/share/sax/init.pl stalls the process. Killing this process will let the installation finish.
After a reboot, X is not configured. Running sax will result in the following prompt:
(1) SaX:

The same prompt is the reason why SaX doesn't finish during the install (Attached strace to the PID of the init.pl script showed that nothing happens after SaX prints that prompt)
Comment 1 Marcus Schaefer 2005-11-21 11:33:00 UTC
yes bad bug, under certain circumstances SaX thinks there is a profile
to include but the data is empty and therefore it provides the prompt
for manual interaction only

fixed

When will this fix be available? I tried as late as yesterday to install, and it still doesn't work.

with the next alpha (alpha4 15.12)
