Dear Novell,
as you can see from summary I get this bug in SUSE 9.3 and I also submitted the bug to KDE developers (see bug n° 109277 in KDE bug traking system).

Seems the developer fixed and resolved the bug but I was not able to test the patch (I am not very expert with linux) so I just waited a new version of my prefered distribution.

Well now I have the new one, SUSE 10.0 but the bug still there; I have exactly the same problem.

THANK YOU very much and please feel free to contact me for any tests.

:)

Marcus, any idea?

Comment 2 Marcus Meissner 2005-11-22 09:32:23 UTC
I fixed it after 10.0 was released, so it is missing from 10.0 itself.

I am not sure we want to do an update... I will just attack a fixed libgphoto2 RPM for you to test.

(In reply to comment #3)

Marcus the patch in libgphoto2 did fix the gp_port_write: Pipe rotta (broken) bug.

Digikam still not work propeply, I have same problem I can't see preview of my photo and I can not download it. Gtkam is OK no problem at all.

Here you see some repors got running as root digikam from konsole:

kbuildsycoca running...

Now the problem seems: auto_sink: Could not load polyp but only digikam has this problem. Gtkam works fine.

Do you think the best is post this bug directly to digikam developers? or the best is post here at NOVELL?

In any case thank you!
I appreciated.

these new errors look like digikam errors.

digikam errors -> kde bugzilla
gphoto errors -> gphoto bugtracker (sf.net/projects/gphoto)
suse / novell packaging / integration flaws -> here :)

I think you can live with the RPM I provided, right? I don't want to release this for all customers, this would be too much effort for now.
