Bugzilla – Bug 134908
growisofs fails in third party apps
Last modified: 2008-06-25 09:53:04 UTC
Third party applications attempting to access the release version of growisofs fail to generate valid iso files. Examples of such applications include k9copy and dvdshrink. Attempts to burn any iso file thus created in current k3b version result in a failed burn on a dvd burner (tested model - BenQ DQ1640).
Please be more verbose. What command is called exactly and what is the problem with the generated ISO? A failed burn is not related to an ISO file because the cdwriter application treats it as raw data, so that any corruption would not influence the burn process itself. Probably a switch or option has changed or was removed so that it does not work proper with calling applications. You could install/compile a version that is recommanded for the specific command. If there are conflicts with shipped packages, we should look into this.
Sorry, but I have to close this bug because of the missing information. If you can provide them, please reopen this report and attach the file(s).

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
