Comment 1 Olaf Kirch 2005-11-24 12:30:56 UTC
Whatever it is, it's most likely not a kernel issue.
Assigning to marsnew maintainer.
Comment 2 Hans-Christian Armingeon 2006-04-12 15:35:17 UTC
Is anybody working on that issue?

I would love to have a novell server running on my amd64 xen machine.
Comment 3 Juston Mortenson 2006-05-09 12:30:35 UTC
Making this bug L3 for a new customer with the same issue.
Company: Nielsen
Contact: steve@soundscan.com

Company is in the process of moving to SLES 9 SP3 and this only works on their 32 bit systems on their new 64 bit systems you see the server in the browse list but you never see the volumes in order to map to them. Also a direct mapping does not work.
They need this to work on 64 bit as the processing power is needed to handle their large amounts of data.

According to our documentation we provided L3 support for this marsnwe on x86_64
http://support.novell.com/products/linuxenterpriseserver/supported_packages/sles_9_sp3_x86_64_supported.pdf

Priority 2 High
Comment 5 Wilken Gottwalt 2006-05-16 06:20:35 UTC
@Justen:

first: Do not mix the products, SL100 is quite different from SLES9.
second: Open another bug for the SLES9 issue and make it a L3. (This bug is reported for SL100 and can never be a L3)
third: Do not touch the Priority tag, only L3 is setting the priority. But you can suggest a value here and L3 is lloking into it.

I remove the L3 tags now.

We will not fix this bug for 10.0 anymore. If the bug still exists in openSUSE 10.3, please reopen and change the product.
