Description Moritz Mühlenhoff 2005-11-26 16:58:22 UTC
The rt2570 driver for USB WLAN modules is very unstable, connections frequently die after an irregular interval and can only be reactivated after a reboot. The same problem has been described at the following URL:

Re-assigning to wireless-tools maintainer (that package supplies that driver).
Comment 2 Joachim Gleissner 2006-01-18 12:33:25 UTC
The rt2570 driver in 10.0 is very "beta", and development on it is discontinued. In 10.1 we will have a new driver written from scratch. If you want to give it a try, you can install the kernel-of-the-day from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/ktod/i386/... . You probably also need a patched hwinfo package so the device is detected correctly. You can get this from here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/jg/wlan/... .
