Description Saulo Soares de Toledo 2005-11-26 22:31:34 UTC
After SUSE instalation, when adding archives to XMMS, the following message is returned:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gtk-WARNING **: invalid cast from `(unknown)' to `GtkObject'

Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkobject.c: line 1034 (gtk_object_set_data): assertion `GTK_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The files are not inserted and the player don't function.
Comment 1 Stanislav Brabec 2006-02-02 18:01:36 UTC
You are probably trying to add MP3 file. It is not possible for legal reasons with xmms as is coming out of the box.

Please try to play OGG file. Does it play

I can reproduce the message, but it is not related to not playing, and does not affect xmms function.

Yes... I'm trying MP3 files. I update the MP3 packages and my XMMS do not have more problems. Thanks
