kernel lockups with new madwifi
Last modified: 2007-06-05 10:05:13 UTC
Hi, I experience lockups with new madwifi driver which is in STABLE. after a few seconds of usage the machine locks up entirely. no sysrq possible.
What exact madwifi package number are you seeing this for?
I'm not sure what you're referring to? Its the kernel package, kernel-default-2.6.14.2-3.i586.rpm as found in autobuild.
apparently this comes from km_wlan -> maintainer
Please provide some information about your hardware, especially what architecture are you using, whether smp or not, and which Atheros card you have. For the latter, grep for 'wifi0: mac' in /var/log/messages.

Madwifi had a few updates in the meantime. Does the problem still exists?
I don't know, the laptop I had problems with is currently broken and under repair. lets pretend its fixed and I'll reopen if I see any more issues.
