Description Dennis Lubert 2005-12-01 14:26:45 UTC
Hi,

I have just installed firefox 1.5 from suse projects and have noticed that inline plugins that should be displayed within the page like flash, java and mplayer. What happens on page load is that there is space reserved for the plugins, the space flickers a bit, in case of java applet sometimes a part of the applet is visible for a fraction of a second and then the are gets the pages background color. The plugins seem nevertheless to be running "in the background".

This works for me. Any hint how to reproduce it?

In the meantime I have played a bit and found that the reason is the adblocker extension downloadable (and installed for ages here) on the firefox site. Disabling it helps, so its a bug of this plugin, it doesnt block the flash/java stuff, it just prevents the display in any case, even when you say it is allowed :(

You can check if you have the latest adblock version installed. At least it works for me with the latest. Anyway, it's not a Firefox bug.
