Bugzilla – Bug 136325
encoding in ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc won't be read
Last modified: 2007-07-31 09:28:50 UTC
Hi, I've configured my konsole to use Encoding "ISO 8859-1". It is saved to ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc, but if I create a new konsole session the Encoding is ignoring. I have to changed the encoding to ISO 8859-1 manualy and than it works. my ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc looks like this: --snip-- [$Version] update_info=konsole.upd:kde2.2/r1,konsole.upd:kde3.0/r1 [Desktop Entry] ActiveSession=0 AutoResizeTabs=false DefaultSession=shell.desktop DynamicTabHide=false EncodingName=ISO 8859-1 Fullscreen=false Height 768=769 TabViewMode=0 Width 1024=1025 bellmode=0 class=konsole-mainwindow#1 defaultfont=monospace,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 history=1000 historyenabled=true keytab=default schema= scrollbar=2 tabbar=2 [TipOfDay] RunOnStart=false TipLastShown=2005,10,20,18,13,52 --snip--
the same with 10.1
you need to restart konsole it seems
as it works after a restart, its not urgent enough for us to fix. please report upstream at http://bugs.kde.org/
