Description Forgotten User sxozS5NPY1 2005-12-03 17:03:18 UTC
Hello,

I just installed all upgrades from ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/10.0-i386 (of course, unsupported!) and monodevelop isn't running:

** (./MonoDevelop.exe:24453): WARNING **: The following assembly referenced from /usr/lib/monodevelop/bin/MonoDevelop.exe could not be loaded:
     Assembly: gnome-sharp (assemblyref_index=4)
     Version: 2.0.0.0
     Public Key: 35e10195dab3c99f
The assembly was not found in the Global Assembly Cache, a path listed in the MONO_PATH environment variable, or in the location of the executing assembly (/usr/lib/monodevelop/bin/).

** (./MonoDevelop.exe:24453): WARNING **: Missing method get_UI in assembly /usr/lib/monodevelop/bin/MonoDevelop.exe, type Gnome.Modules

** ERROR **: file mini.c: line 9575 (mono_jit_compile_method_inner): should not be reached
aborting...

gtk-sharp is installed. According to internet sources, monodevelop needs a recompile (but I don't know ...). Could you add a monodevelop package to the gnome update so that it runs with the packages there?

I'm not sure how the gnome update process works. Assigning to Aj so it gets to the correct person.

But yes, recompiling would fix the problem. The newer Monodevelop packages fix this problem.

Wade, you need to submit this to PLUS and then it needs to be added to the files to sync out

Talk with Gekker or Stanislav, they can help you with this.

This is a known type of problems You have tu update all dependent packages from supplementary, even if RPM does not ask for it. I hope it's fixed in 10.1.

See bug 132436.

And yes, monodevelop is already included in supplementary program.

Please reopen or mail to me if you see any other package missing.
