Description Francis Earl 2005-12-08 08:14:56 UTC
I do not understand why Rhythmbox is installed at all.

However, Rhythmbox depends libgpod, which has no install candidate.

I do not believe there needs to be 2 audio players installed by default, and it seems Novell is going to be going with Banshee, so perhaps consider taking this out of the default install?

Same thing as in bug #137542, Francis. Anyway: We don't have mich influence on these decisions here in our department on these political decisions... and the asnwear would be: Everyone is free to install anything he wants and leave the rest.

I will not close it for now. The dependency of libgpod is set in our package database. Is it missing or isn't it found on the installation media? What exactly do you mean?

If there is an actual problem with the libgpod package, please reopen this bug and provide the information. Thanks.

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
