[kyast] PLEASE remove YAST modules from KDE control center
Last modified: 2006-02-06 10:50:05 UTC
Good day, I can't stress enough how DANGEROUS accessing YAST modules through the KDE control panel can get. KDE Start Menu -> Control Center -> YAST2 Modules Now pick any task to your liking on the left side panel. For instance, install some new software, click apply, and when in the midst of updating click on any other icon on the left panel: the running task will quit. Just imagine what this might lead to. Besides, the way YAST modules are listed in the KDE conrol center is confusing and different from the arrangement you get when running YAST directly. Regards, Andrea
Pete: there is no way to fix the aborting. And it seems like a little problem possible to document. Then again I'm myself no huge fan of this yast2 embedding as it causes a lot of problems, but bugzilla history proves many users use it.
ok, as Pete had this bug for 6 weeks as NEEDINFO, try the next one. AJ: now we're past deadline and I still think this needs to be fixed
