Description Martin Vidner 2005-12-16 10:26:50 UTC
I was installing Alpha4 i386 OSS. When booting after the 1st CD, the graphical boot menu came up and when it timed out, the system froze.
I was able to proceed by deleting the reference to /boot/message from /boot/grub/menu.lst

The machine has an AMD K6 3D processor, perhaps it got an instruction for a newer processor?

This bug could be a duplicate of bug 141169

Possible. Martin, does beta1 work for you?

Martin, any news? If not, close it.

Finally installed a non minimal distro to check it. It works.
