The current configuration of WLAN isn´t very user-friendly IMO.
There should be a solution implemented similar to Windows or to other Linux distros. I suggest picking up the idea of integrating a "system-tray" app with YaST2, like it´s done with the powersave applet. There already exists a KWifiManager app which works very well and lets the user search for networks and connect to them. If this could be integrated and used in SuSE it would be another step to a really easy-to-use OS

The KDE-Maintainers should comment on this. I also take the GNOME-maintainers into CC.

FYI: NetworkManager provides that.

10.1 uses network manager.
