Description Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2005-12-29 18:31:05 UTC
today i got this, running dvbcut, an MPEG transport stream cutting application.

I doubt this is reproducible since i did not see this before.
Afterwards, every "ps x" hangs when it gets to the pid of dvbcut.
I'll attach dmesg and sysrq-t of the hanging "ps x"

Something is messing up the VM. Andrea, can you have a look?
Comment 4 Nick Piggin 2007-03-08 14:01:17 UTC
Can this be reproduced with a recent kernel/release?
Comment 5 Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2007-03-08 14:30:43 UTC
I cannot remember having seen it ever since.
Comment 6 Nick Piggin 2007-03-21 03:46:53 UTC
OK, it is hard to tell what the problem might have been, but there have been
quite a few VM fixes since then. If you ever see something similar, please
report it again.
Comment 7 Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2007-03-21 11:58:13 UTC
Yes, i will do so. I suggest closing this one as "worksforme" now unless somebody heavily objects.

I will not be discouraged from reporting other strange stuff i might see by this resolution :-)
Comment 8 Nick Piggin 2007-05-23 10:32:45 UTC
Well, nobody objected yet, so I'll close :)

Thanks for your effort in reporting anyway, and I'm sorry we couldn't
solve this one at this time.
