Description Ferdinando Bassi 2005-12-29 20:20:33 UTC
After installation, Windows can't boot anymore. It boots, asks for login, loads personal settings, then shows desktops and suddenly freeze. SUSE boots fine.
Partition Magic and Drive Image reports some mistmatchs in LBA and CHS hard disk informations.
Deleted all partitions, re-installed Windows. All was OK. Then installed SUSE 10 into previously unpartitioned hard disk space and the problem appeared again.
Hardware is a Toshiba Satellite 5200 notebook, IBM hard disk. Since BIOS is Windows based BIOS I can't say whether the Hard Disk is LBA or not.
SUSE 9.3 was fine.
I read somewhere on the web about a similar problem on Fedora Core 2...

Thomas, I'm not sure where the problem could be. In yast, kernel, parted...?

Closing this because lack of log files.
