Description Bhogilal Hirani 2006-01-03 14:21:20 UTC
k3b 0.12.3 using KDE 3.4.2 level"b" SUSE10

K3b recognises a Sony DRX-810UL DVD+/-R Dual Layer, DVD +/-RW drive BUT will not allow a 7Gb ISO file to be written to a Dual Layer DVD+R media.
Click the icon to burn the contents displays the following error:

Problem 1:
Foung files bigger an 2 GB. there files will ony be fully accesible if mounted with UDF.
Eneabling UDF Extension
Could not determine size of resulting image file.

Problem 2:
The drive should handle DVD -R (4.7 GB dvds). k3b/SUSE10 does not recognise the media.
Clicking on the burn icon gives an error after about 5 minutes

Found media : Unkown
Please insert an empty Double Layer DVD+/-R medium into drive

I hasten to add, that under windowsXP i am able to bun the 7gb iso and use DVD+/-R media.

I'm afraid you tried to write a 7Gb file on a DVD - you have to use a different work flow if you want to write a premastered ISO file. Can you please verify that you used the "burn DVD ISO Image" option?

ok, assuming so
