kdm is ok (except for the cursor, but I think this is a Matrox g400/450 issue).

After logging in a small window appears in the upper-left corner:
"Could not start kstartupconfig. Check your installation."

Immediately after clicking ok, another one pops up:
"Could not start kdeinit. Check your installation."

Oked this message, and again kdm is on the screen.

I also tried FVWM which worked normally.
