Bugzilla – Bug 143209
cron-4.1-20 fails to commit changes when /tmp is symlinked
Last modified: 2007-03-05 23:15:15 UTC
(uhh, where are we supposed to report bugs for 9.3 ???? ? ??) cron-4.1-20 (for 9.3) has a temp file bug which can be triggered by setting /tmp as a symlink to another partition: /tmp -> /u/tmp Once you do this crontab -e fails to detect and commit changes. There's a redhat bug report and update available: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=129170
reproducable on SUSE Linux 10.0 final (/tmp symlinked to /home/tmp)
Fixed in STABLE
even if I'm late: VERIFIED in 10.2 final
