Bugzilla – Bug 143275
Yast2 software manager: for rpms found via search there's a submenu "all in this list", but "update if newer.." option there doesn't work.
Last modified: 2008-06-25 09:53:15 UTC
Start "Yast2 software manager" from "Yast2 control center" (or whatever), make a search, say kdevelop. The right side window displays found package(s), then put mouse on that window over the found package & press right mouse button. The menu appear, select "All in This List", there select 'Updaete if newer version avaliable' . In my system nothing happen w/ package state (1st column). Though some of other options in this submenu work OK: delete, keep, install, protected, update unconditionally .
Just to be on the safe side: Please attach your yast logfiles here as this could be a bug.
Okay.. Will attach 'em within one-two weeks.. sorry - busy now.
OK, once you can provide the information, please reopen this bug.
mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)
Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
