for some reason kweather fails to retrieve data for stations.
using squid proxy.

tried several stations from interface and also editing config file for one that was not in starting list - kweather is trying to retrieve incorrect information.

from proxy log :

http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/observations/metar/stations/0000.TXT

this is also true for 10.1alpha4

please report to bugs.kde.org - we do not maintain kweather (as not installed pre default)

hmm. will do, but i thought this was suse specific as none of my slackware boxes with different kde versions had this problem
