Description Andreas Klein 2006-01-21 13:11:21 UTC
- IBM R50p with ultranav (touchpad+mousestick)
- user with autologin with kde
- After the X-server starup and during the KDE initialization phase, touchpad and mousestick are working as expected.
- after the KDE login is complete, the touchpad stops working, and only the mousestick works properly.
The problem is reproducible on every reboot.
Comment 1 Andreas Klein 2006-01-22 18:17:12 UTC
After logging out from KDE both devices work. The problem does not occur with fvwm.

no idea, what is going on. Could be a xset that is happening, could be ksynaptics (is that installed)?
Comment 3 Andreas Klein 2006-01-23 17:55:05 UTC
ksynaptics was the problem. I removed the package and the problem is gone.
Maybe this is not a good default-setting for ksynaptics.
