Description Graham Davis 2006-01-22 11:01:31 UTC
Konqueror will show a preview of a .djvu file but, when the file is clicked on, will only open the "open with . . . " panel. I've checked the plug-in section of Konqeror's settings and the appropriate plug-in folder (usr/lib/browser-plugins) is included. However, only three of the five plugins in that folder are recognised by Konqueror.

Accepted plug-ins:
libdragonegg.so
libflashplayer.so
nphelix.so

Ignored plug-ins:
nppdf.so
nsdejavu.so

The problem is new with SUSE 10 and persists with 10.1 beta 1. SUSE 9.3 is OK. It occurs on new installations with new users and on AMD 32 and 64 machines.

I'm tempted to set the severity to "blocker" as I cannot use SUSE 10 for the majority of my needs if this bug is not fixed. However, I realise that for most users this is not be the case.

well, why don't you use djview for it?

I just tried, associating djview with those files works just fine. I can provide a default association if that helps.

I can now view the files by firing up the djview program. However, this is more inconvenient than using the plug-in. The problem with Konqueror not picking up plug-ins remains to be solved. Also, djview isn't the only plug-in affected.

Thanks,

Graham
